Beyond 'Zero-Tolerance' : Leading an emotionally literate school.
Schools are not just places for academic learning. They are also places where young people learn social and emotional skills that will help them succeed in life. Relationship-based behaviour culture is essential for creating an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment where all young people can thrive. In prioritising positive relationships between pupils, teachers, and staff, schools can foster a culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration that benefits everyone.
Successful supervision in schools
Education has begun catching up with our partners in Health and Social Care, in recognising the importance of effective and supportive staff supervision. We work with senior leaders on how to effectively conduct one to ones so that they are a catalyst for professional development and school improvement. We also offer direct independent supervision for Designated Safeguarding Leads
Circle of Change
A whole school training on improving behaviours that challenge can be a valuable investment in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. Understanding what drives such behaviours in all of us and developing strategies to manage our own emotions when working with those whose behaviour is challenging can lead to more positive outcomes for everyone involved and help build a culture of empathy and understanding in our school community.
Mindfulness in the classroom
Mindfulness is a powerful tool that can help young people cultivate awareness concentration and insight as a vehicle for understanding and regulating emotions. Our training program for teachers, mentors, and support staff is designed to provide them with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively embed mindfulness into their classrooms with young people. Through this training participants will learn how to create a supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being and resilience.
